Your Outlook account needs a reset when it’s not working like it should. One of the methods of resetting your Outlook mail account is to reset the password. These are the steps to do it the right way.
First, head over to the outlook.com sign-in webpage and click on the “Can’t access your account?” link.
Then, click on the “Forgot my password” and click Next.
After that, type the email address for your account and click Next.
Now, choose any verification method - Text or email, and type your mobile number’s last 4 digits number.
Next, input your verification code and click Next.
Moving forward, continue with the steps to recreate your email account’s password.
At last, choose the Next option to finish the password reset.
You can verify your Outlook account with the two-factor authentication. Check out the steps to do it:
To get started, log in to your Outlook email account.
Then, head over to the Security Settings option and choose Two-factor authentication.
Now, select an authentication method- Text or app.
After that, type all the required information to continue using the authentication method you selected.
Next, after completing the authentication, your email account will send you a code to the mobile or authentication app.
In the next step, you need to type that code on the screen and hit the Verify button.
Finally, your account is verified via two-factor authentication.
Sometimes, your mailbox storage has exceeded the limit, and some issues may arise within the email. So, it’s better to check it once.
To start, sign in to your Outlook email account.
Then, head over to the mailbox, and you’ll see a notification saying that your mailbox is full.
If you don’t receive any message, hit the “Settings” option from the upper right-hand side and hit the View all Outlook Settings option.
After that, move on to the General option and then click on Storage.
Next, you can view your overall storage usage and the available storage.
Lastly, you can empty some space by deleting old emails, clearing the Trash folder, and moving emails to different folders.
